Why do we like this?

If you’re into psych rock and want something that skims along the edgier side of trippy, then check this out.

Jay Watson is the drummer from Tame Impala, and he’s gone solo under the name GUM to drop this mesmerizing, mind-trip of a track. And who better to spin off anything psychedelic rock than a member of Tame Impala? 

It’s not his first solo spin, either. Last year Jay released an EP called Deloran Highway. He’s back with more in the form of a second solo EP that's coming soon called Glamorous Damage.

This track “Anesthetized Lesson” is our first look at what’s coming next. It's like synths, beats, and funk got mashed together with a whole lots of cool space invaders. And Jay sure has a knack for coming up with awesome EP and song titles!

Glamorous Damage EP from GUM is out November 13.
