Why do we like this?
Oakland artist Anthony Ferraro is no stranger to super melodic, pulpy pop music. As Astronauts, etc. he's held our attention since 2012, most recently releasing the accessible and soulful Sadie EP.
Today we're premiering a lovely piece of electro-pop by Astronauts, etc. and Harriet Brown, an LA-based artist on a mission to create a new kind of romantic funk. "Fiction" benefits tremendously from both Brown and Ferraro's songwriting skills, as well as a heartfelt and nuanced production from Astronauts, etc. and Chaz Bundick from Toro y Moi.
Astronauts, etc. and Harriet Brown will both be performing tonight at Wood Shoppe's 3rd Birthday Party at San Francisco's Brick & Mortar. Tickets are free. Plus, there will be a DJ set by Trails and Ways.
