Why do we like this?
A Portland take on a Seattle staple, Horse Feathers transports the Nevermind classic from its grungy city roots to the lush sonic soundscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Their album, Thistled Spring, came out earlier this year and they have been touring extensively ever since.
According to Seattle Weekly:
Portland's Horse Feathers recently played a sweetened, softened cover of Nirvana's "Drain You" at a concert in their hometown -- the reaction was so positive, the band hit the studio to record the cover, and [released] it on their label, Kill Rock Stars, as a 7" vinyl on November 2.
