Why do we like this?

Not so new, not so fresh, not as praised as his breakthrough single "Take Me To Church," but just as great -- or even better -- "Work Song" is the perfect definition of bittersweet. This is Hozier as we love him, with lyrics and harmonies so soulful you feel all the seasons of the year instantly rushing throughout your body.

Although I'm not such a religious person myself, I really love the way he refers to religion in his music. Or maybe I love the way he refers to love in his music. One way or another, "Work Song" is a masterpiece and one of the best tracks I've heard this year. Powerful lyrics and simplicity will win you over.

By the way, his debut album Hozier just came out, you should really spin it a few times. Oh, and on a slightly different topic, I'm starting to believe Hozier is the real Jesus.
