When good music stands on its own, it means that it leans to the side that is closer to perfection than not. And maybe you still believe that "perfection" is subjective. But sonically it isn't.
Familiar melodies and chords that we enjoy are no coincidence. Verses and hooks are constructed, no? Synths and sounds and vocal production that we also gravitate to have even more perfection in them than you realize. Volume levels and balance and texture, and so on and so on. You dig a good song because you find little in it, if anything at all, to irritate you.
That's what you're going to get on Iffy Orbit's newest tune "Let It Go." Familiar feels are all over the place, on this one. Daft Punk vibes in the slightly garage sounding vocal production, some MGMT and Tame Impala in the vocal and choruses and melodies. A lot of good sounds and good vibes.
Warning: You may want to dance to this one. Go for it. The weekend is here.
