Why do we like this?

Look who's baaaack! Are you excited? Jagwar Ma dropped this newie today and promises of a new album coming. I'm excited for this.

This release "OB1" has the intensity and edge that I love about anything these guys release. The bassline in this is sick and it's almost a tease that it drops in and out at strategic times throughout this track.

These guys can tease all they like, but what I adore most about Jagwar Ma is the stunning way they fuse a heavy rock and dance sound in such equal doses. Their sound is never any more rock than it is dance, and vice versa. How they pull that blend off, I don't know but it's a sound so unmistakably their own. 

I last saw these guys play two years ago at Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. That massive blend of sound and their ability to pump it out for what seemed an eternity has to been heard to be believed.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? New album coming means more live touring from Jagwar Ma? Here's hoping.
