It's a real shame that I'm going to use this as an opportunity to rant about how stupid the fucking music industry is, but here goes... Today I wanted to blog ~4 songs by artists that managed to win me over with their new singles. Turns out not one of them was allowed to upload their tune (as a full, non-preview) to SoundCloud because of label restrictions. Fuck them, right? While you might want to lay blame on the artist, they're feeling as helpless as I am here. Case in point: https://twitter.com/SGLewis_/status/767732482015956992 Anyway, this one stood out as by far my favorite, so I'm going to overcome the rage inside and blog it for you anyway, using none other than YouTube. Of course, I could just upload an MP3 and stream that (they'd probably turn the other eye), but alas, I don't feel like it's worth risking Indie Shuffle's existence over. Sorry for the rant, James. I see "Miss You" is up there as a 29 second preview, but unfortunately that just won't cut it for our fans here. That said, I hope you're making shitloads of money off your label's decision to keep you off SoundCloud <3 I suppose YouTube ain't that bad, anyway...
