Why do we like this?

James Stanbury's single, "Sunburn" is a slow and steady trudge into super chill indie pop terrain.

The simplicity of its composition is also the perfect recipe of experimentation and classic features. The lackadaisical guitar slogs on as the vocals coo through a chopped-up effect. A pleasant surprise appears towards the end of the track in the form of a beautifully psychedelic pedal. The formula of this song from start to finish is tried and true but there's a pop-sensibility that elevates the composition. "Sunburn" is a new kind of lullaby that perhaps only millennials would understand.
