Why do we like this?
At the start of this year, James Vincent McMorrow released a new album by the name of Post Tropical. Normally, most artists would take a break from releasing new material, but it seems that too much new content has been bubbling up inside the artist to resist.
"When I Leave" sees James Vincent go James Blake. The synth work is complex, and at times vaguely unapproachable; the song shifts through multiple different phases, at times leaving the listener hard-pressed to pick up a consistent theme.
At the end of the day what counts for me is that this is interesting. Oh, and it's a free download.
