My brother and his wife just touched down in Cape Town on a visit from San Francisco. It's mid-summer here, so coupled with the jetlag, they're in a pretty chilled out vibe. Luckily Joni Fatora's new single "Blueless Bird" is here to set the mood. With a wonderfully jazzy sound, the song instantly sweeps listeners off to a beach in Hawaii. Or, for that matter, the coastline of Cape Town. On that note, can you seriously imagine this song in the context of Brooklyn winter living? Surrounded by snow? Personally, I couldn't be further away from that scene, but maybe that's the whole point of Joni's music: an escape from the cold. Props to HillyDilly for the discovery.
