So Short/So Sweet
It's not every day something so concentrated and pure, in its attempt to just be, falls in your lap.
"You Have To Call" is possibly my most indie pop song of the week. A beautiful low hum of music, a strong and bubbly vocal aesthetic that gets its share of overindulgent echoes and reverb. It's a song that sounds as clean and innocent as the themes it aims to touch on.
The detachment of romantic, social, and friendly relationships gets delved into and the feeling of loss is reconstructed in a lyrical narrative that not only talks about something we all know so well but also manages to emphasize it with a host of pure, clean, and innocent voices.
