Why do we like this?

One of South Africa's leading sonic innovators, Jumping Back Slash is pushing boundaries on a global scale with recognition from the likes of TEED, among others.

JBS004, his most recent release, is arguably his best. While all of the tracks on the EP are a beacon into a rapidly expanding music scene, "Blue Smoke" is narrowly the most captivating. Exceptional chord progression and downright sinful vocal control mesmerizes listeners. The landscape of his sounds lends hints of Deep UK Future Garage mixed with an African tribal fusion with late 90s vocalists.

The entire JBS004 EP is far from boring and is suitable to listen too whenever, wherever.
