Why do we like this?

Does anyone remember the artist Self? Particularly the album Breakfast With Girls and the song "Meg Ryan". Maybe I'll blog about it next so that it's here. It's one of those lost albums of the 90s.

Anyway, that's the first thing that I thought of upon hearing the "Let Go" from Justin Jay & Friends. The tracks share a similar essence. They're both quirky, poppy, sparse electronics along with a hodgepodge of other musical devices, mixed with guitar; "Let Go" encapsulates that special thing indie pop had in the 90s, I guess.

"Let Go" is a happy-go-lucky addition to the Justin Jay & Friends collection. Listen and enjoy!
