Gosh. Where has my head been today? Certainly not here, in this mood — floating, dipping, and diving with "You Give Me Butterflies." If only I had heard this hours earlier, I may not have spent the greater half of the night writing melancholy songs on a guitar. But hey, there's a place for that, too.
On "You Give Me Butterflies," Justin Jay specifically asks that we imagine something like "a carefree day at the beach, spent with your friends, acting like 8 year-olds." While I'm very far from any beach, I'll imagine a carefree bike ride in the northern trails of Michigan, with deer running along side of me and butterflies hitching rides on my handle bars — yeah, that sounds about right.
