Why do we like this?
Kashka! It's fun to say and it's fun to listen to. Her latest single, "Prophet," is what I'm told falls into the "folktronica" genre.
This electronic-heavy ballad comes fully loaded with a deep bass synth, drum machine, varying synth layers and loops, and perhaps another fun instrument or two. There's nothing juvenile about this song; its sophisticated and calculated composition makes it a cut above the rest.
"Prophet" is a lovely sneak peek into Kashka's upcoming album, Bound, set to drop on January 14, 2014.
