Why do we like this?
Kind of poppy, kind of funky, at times like a slam poem, at others like a (good) school chorus, kind of makes me want to dance, kind of makes me want to melt in to a puddle. I'm not quite sure where to put Katie Laffan's "Aversion" in my brain or in this website's labeling system, but I'm going to keep listening until I figure it out.
I'm also going to keep following Katie Laffan to see if she ever goes all in on the Fever Ray vibes I can hear underneath it all, but even if she stays on this lighter side, she works so well. I'll be happy and forever singing along to "Aversion" and all its I-don't-knows because, yeah, same.
