Kilter's "Hold Me" featuring YOUTH is beautiful in its own right, but Cosmo's Midnight remix has me in future garage heaven. My fellow Australian writers should get posting rights for this one, but I couldn't resist. This is my musical wheelhouse, and it's been awhile.
Perhaps nostalgia for early 2013 UK dance music is playing its part, yet there's novelty involved when the duo resides in Sydney. The intricate bass and perfectly pitched vocals together emanate an accessible luxury. I've won over during a subtle moment, when YOUTH's voice falls away singing, "I know your faults," and then again for the rest of the track. I want to endlessly rain dance like the synths and then after party with some Cobblestone Jazz.
