Why do we like this?
I tell you, the folks running the L.A.-based record label Mind of a Genius are geniuses themselves. They brought us ZHU, Galant, and now their latest project is this Dutch producer, singer and songwriter called Klangstof.
Klangstof offers up Radionhead's OK Computer as a seminal influence on his music. Sounds right, especially when you hear the second half of this track.
Mid way through and it pauses slightly, as if to tease, before adding a more electro sound. Then synths get layered on top of that before finally the build ramps up to a full-out and intense rock sound.
I find this track refrained, skilled, wickedly confident and a total joy. I can't wait for what's next.
