Kudu Blue is a five-piece electro-pop outfit from Brighton, UK who emerged on the scene last year with their debut single "Bones." Primarily creating remixes beforehand, the artist took time to refine their sound before releasing original music.
Evidently it was time well spent, as this song grabbed my attention upon first listen. Dripping with striking falsetto notes, humming synths, and gorgeously writhing vocals, "Vicinity" is a hypnotic electro-pop confection sure to pull you in.
You can hear a slight influence of Rihanna's "Only Girl (In The World)" in the melody. That being said, Kudu Blue brings a variety of unique flavors to their sound, making "Vicinity" a track that winds it's way into your brain and stays there.
