Lais

Toronto, a hot bed for some of the globe’s most decadently moody hip-hop, has provided us with another stellar up-and-coming artist within the genre. The remix of “For You” is mattress music at its finest. The sensual and melancholy beat is coddled by acutely auto-tuned verses from Lais and the talented Mr. Skizzy Mars, who has swooped in to not only drop a verse, but also make Lais the latest addition to his Penthouse & Co team (a roster which already includes Memphis rapper Jon Waltz and New York-based producer Michael Keenan). Lais' debut tape is a nine-track project called "Session One," a strong rookie project that showcases the singer/rapper floating different styles and displaying some solid versatility.
