Why do we like this?

Lana Del Rey is undoubtedly one of the fastest rising female-vocalists in the indie world. The bevy of bloggers and remixers covering her materials is multiplying, with the latest track "Born to Die" garnering praise left and right.

If you were to ask me, I'd reckon that she's following in the footsteps of Florence + The Machine -- clearly a factor of the baroque style. And so this Count Ninjula (clever name, right?) remix makes total sense to me. Why? Because I posted something very similar by Florence + The Machine only a couples weeks ago: "No Light, No Light (Breakage Remix)." Quite similar, right?
