"Born to Die" is certainly no "Diet Mt. Dew," but the latest brooding single off Lana Del Rey's upcoming album Born to Die is pretty interesting.The thing I find most interesting about the self-titled track is certainly the background ambiance, which includes creative percussion, robust string work, and a number of audio samples (a la Gil-Scott Heron). Without it, I think the track would be completely and thoroughly boring.That said, with a few listens, you might actually find this track growing on you.Born to Die will be released January 23rd, 2012 and can be pre-ordered here.
