Why do we like this?
This track is absolutely enthralling, and I owe credit to Blah Blah Blah science for bringing it to my attention. That said, Laura Mvulu clearly isn't an unknown.
Nominated for a Brits' Critic's Choice award (along with the likes of AlunaGeorge), Laura Mvula has been gaining traction at a remarkable pace. And that's no surprise given the unique quality of her single "Green Garden" -- I can't say I've heard anything like it myself.
The song is the ~third single off her upcoming album Sing To The Moon, due for release some time in February. Each features heavy utilization of harmony -- so much so that the two former tracks ("She" and "Like The Morning Dew") are a little choral for me. This one, however, is a clear winner.
