Why do we like this?

Laura Mvula is an amazing songstress and has been a critical darling since her deft debut album, Sing To The Moon. The Foundation is an amazing underground hip-hop group from Houston, Texas. 

Perhaps not much overlap at first sight, but the merging of the two has created some sublime music. Reinterpreting tunes from Mvula's live album, the ambitiously titled Laura Mvula with Metropole Orkest conducted by Jules Buckley at Abbey Road Studios, Kay, Luke and their crew find themselves with tunes that sound like a dream.

Utilizing both drum programming and live instruments, the tunes carry the weight and dynamic equal to their source. They'll present a collect of their takes in the forthcoming project, Laura Mvula Chopped.
