This song is about me, right? I'm a beautiful boy, aren't I?Okay, turns out, it's actually written for tennis champ Michael Chang, as part of an ESPN documentary. When it came out, no one had a clue who had written the song, but it turns out there's a pretty qualified name behind Licorice: Nick Sylvester.I don't expect you to know who he is, but I think his accolades are quite noteworthy: he's produced songs for Indie Shuffle regulars MØ and Channel Tres, and studied under James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem."Beautiful Boy" comes off as a really solid debut, though as of writing this he's actually got a second single under his belt, titled "Ashwagandha." Also pretty solid, though I'd say this first taste is the one I'll keep coming back for.
