Why do we like this?
Brooklyn-based bedroom pop artist LIFER moved to New York a few years ago. He's channeled the draining and exciting experiences he's had since into a forthcoming debut EP with Forged Artifacts, who've helped introduce some of my favorite acts of the past few years, including Los Angeles Police Department and Iles.
"Nightlife" is instantly likable. The guitar progressions pair so well with LIFER's waning vocals, helping build this simple melody that feels stripped of most of the synthesized bullshit that clouds so many promising pop / rock tracks. I've had a chance to peep the EP, and think you'll really dig what LIFER has to offer.
