Anyone else a fan of the original version of this track? It got written up on Indie Shuffle late last year as a surprisingly good instrumental debut from newcomer Listenbee. Now here's its first remix.
Who is the remixing artist here, you ask? Tez Cadey, also known as Malo Brisout, is a 21-year-old on-the-rise producer out of Paris. He's been doing some cool things lately -- like bootlegging various remixes of a wide range of stuff. From remixing Lana Del Rey to Snoop Dogg to Calvin Harris, his work is starting to get noticed.
There are stretches in this remix where the beat really cranks, but not in a way that's overwhelming. I'd say this is on the mellow side of house, if such a place exists. Regardless, lots of the vocals and excellent instrumentation from the original remain, with wonderful stretches where it all gets stripped back and the beats let fly.
