Why do we like this?
If you're going to cover a classic track, there's two things going on. First, you have to be brave enough to do it because everyone knows the original and second, you have to do it really, really well.
Luckily Josh Jacobson has done both. Josh is a singer-songwriter based out of Brooklyn who's a part of the Moving Castle collective of likeminded cool guys and gals that make cool music.
Josh's background is in jazz. Once you know that it's super easy to spot it shining through, especially in the early sections of this cover. He's skillfully turned this cover into future bass mashed with jazz. And, oh gosh! Is that a harp I hear in there as well? Love.
