Why do we like this?
Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller, also known as Sleigh Bells, took the stage at Chicago's Metro to play a sold-out Sunday night show. They played the same venue in the same city on the same day of the week for the same amount of people just a little more than one year later. Another element that remained unchanged? The energy. No matter the fact that they didn't jump to a larger venue on this tour, which is in support of the release of their third LP, Bitter Rivals; the Metro set the scene perfectly. The size allowed for intimacy while the noise levels felt more on par with that of an arena rock show.

The duo, accompanied by a touring guitarist and, in a change from last year, a drummer, ripped through old favorites like "Crown on the Ground," "Riot Rhythm," and "Infinity Guitars," and spent time on Reign of Terror's own blend of noise pop with "True Shred Guitar" and "Demons." Also, they played new material in the form of "Bitter Rivals" and "Minnie." Krauss thanked Chicago for always "bringing it" and brought it right back by thrashing about the stage, whipping her hair and diving into the crowd.

Since we've already caught you up on their newest, "Bitter Rivals," we thought we would share Sleigh Bells' remix of one of our favorites. Find a stream of Phoenix's "Chloroform" here -- they practically make it their own!
