Why do we like this?

There's something earnest and wholesome and scary about this new single from Ryan Polie, better known around these parts as Los Angeles Police Department.

"Grown" is melodically serene and tranquil. Lyrically, it's about being lonely, and having to grow up all the same. One listen might not have the same emotional impact as, say, listen four or five. This one is likely to grow on you.

"Grown" appears on LAPD's self-titled album, out April 28 via Anti Records. You can pre-order the vinyl here if that's your thing.
