The other day I asked for a drag of my roommate's rollie. He handed it to me and after a couple of puffs my head started to feel light. I felt the high coming on. I haven't smoked weed, for personal reasons, in three years, so I braced myself for the oncoming storm.
As I wandered into the kitchen, a thought emerged. The world, our earth, does a full rotation every single day. Factoring in how big the world is, and how much it's actually moving, floored me. I walked back outside in a daze and found out that the rollie was solely comprised of tobacco.
The turning of the earth still felt like a noteworthy realization to me, even though I wasn't high. The slow roll of our planet reminds me of Magic Bronson's "Tell All Your Friends." Both song and planet move slowly, in a way that feels momentous.
We've featured Magic Bronson a few times, and "Tell All Your Friends" is a welcome return to our pages. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for more from the LA-based duo!
