Why do we like this?

London quintet Mamas Gun have just dropped the third single, "I Need A Win," from their forthcoming album, Golden Days.

Another modern soul number infused with a jazzy heart, "I Need A Win" continues Mamas Gun's streak of must hear singles, following on from "London Girls" and "Strangers On A Street." This is another great example of frontman and guitarist Andy Platt's love of Motown and classic soul, with the lyricist having this to say about the track:

Lyrically it deals with the wildfire chaos following a cataclysmic life event, it’s rooted in something much deeper than the well-travelled themes of love/romance/heartbreak though, pivoting between the poles of salvation-seeking hope and infinite despair.

Golden Days is set for release May 18.
