One can always count on Max Cooper to push the envelope as far as experimentation with his sound. "Origins" is just one more example of his passion for the exploration of sound.
The song builds around an instrument called the sansula, which has a sound and design not unlike an traditional African instrument called the "mbira" or "kalimba." Max came about the instrument via Dominik Eulberg, who released a song by the name "Sansula" -- eventually remixed by Max himself.
The end result creates a beautiful setting for a minimal electronica track, clearly worthy of being shared with y'all.
