Why do we like this?
Starting a track off with an arpeggiated synth is a surefire way to grab my attention. But then the shoegaze styled mix on the vocals *almost* lost it. I usually prefer my vocals on top of the track, but this is a rare exception – she killed it.
She being Allie Thompson, who met Greg Doscher in Santa Barbara a little while back and chatted music. This resulted in the decision to create an album together. Jason, being quick to the draw, covered their first single "Fade," but this time around I have the honor of presenting their newest work of art, "First Cut."
