Why do we like this?

Australian producer Emerse first caught my attention last year with the release of ambient single "Clouds." We've covered several of his original releases since that time.

Today we're hyping his remix of Mount Kimbie's "Before I Move Off." As Emerse told me, "I'm pretty massive fan of the original and always wanted to rework it." I'm glad Emerse is sharing this one with the world. It's got a great bassline and two heavy breakdowns that transform the funky original into something a bit more sinister.

Emerse is offering his "Before I Move Off" remix as a free download.
