Why do we like this?
Mashup mixtapes are often tiresome and repetitive. With two mixed artists, the sound gets boring after a couple of tracks; the tape loses your interest and you skip to the end. That's where this tape is different "” it's Weezy, whom we all know and love, over the popularly indie soundtrack to the movie (500) Days of Summer.

The likes of Simon & Garfunkel, The Smiths, Regina Spektor, and Doves are sampled, among others, and although many of them are brief, the tracks are all their own version of relaxing stimulation. A sprinkling of Weezy interview audio clips gives the tape (free download) personality and establishes an emotional connection with the listener, who then has no quips with listening to the tape all the way through"¦three times in a row.

The project was composed by My Sick Uncle, who said about the tape, "This is not a mashup album, this is an album about Wayne." It's hard to pick a favorite track on this one; appearances by Kanye, Eminem, and Birdman are all fun but the album is best enjoyed as a whole, from beginning to end.  So grab your favorite headphones, sit back, and listen.  Enjoy.
