My favorite up-and-coming UK future soul songstress is back with another killer tune. Released via Little Tokyo Recordings, "Bad Blood" is the first track from Nao's debut album, and as usual, this lady hits all the nails on all the heads.
This R&B jam features drawn-out synth sounds, well placed beats, and tight harmonies -- production that's minimal enough to allow Nao's neo-soul vocals to shine through, but not too understated as to take away from the chilled, vibing atmosphere of the track.
Nao has made sure she's remained in our sights with a constant stream of music and stellar features over the past year, and with her debut album slated for release in early 2016, it doesn't seem as though she's letting up anytime soon.
