Why do we like this?
UK producer New Mantra has returned with moody new single "Under."
Having sporadically dropped a few singles and an EP over the past couple years, "Under" finds the inventive producer delivering a more mature release echoing the atmospheric sounds of Massive Attack.
The swirling electronica melds with vocal samples and pulsating percussion, giving "Under" a downtempo feel reminiscent of the trip-hop creations coming out of Bristol in the 90s.
Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best release from New Mantra and showcases his developing skills as a producer. Hopefully there is more to come like this in the near future.
