Why do we like this?

Hip-hop comes in many, many forms, though it could be argued that the majority of styles find their original form in poetry. Okwonga's "Ring The Bells" might be one of the more interesting modern case studies to back that up.

A poet by trade, Okwonga seamlessly blends modern electronic sounds (courtesy of Paper Tiger's Greg Surmacz) with spoken word, creating a rhythm that effortlessly ebbs and flows from verse to verse. The end result is a captivating single that nods to the nomadic influence underpinning its creation.

The song comes off a four-track EP called The Nomadic, inspired by travels between Rio, London, Leeds and Berlin. You'll be able to hear the full thing on July 14th.
