Paces has done it again. Released this morning, "On My Mind" is the newest single from the Aussie producer. If this track doesn't make you bounce, then I don't know what will.
Opening with futuristic synth droplets, the beat is instantly cool, and the groove is bangin'. Enter airy vocals brimming with strength and sensuality, courtesy of UK band Youth.
There's so much soul in Youth's vocals, I'm so mesmerised by her tone. Balancing a honey-sweet voice with relentless power, the vocals bring this track to a whole new level. Paces has produced this track with masterful precision, knowing exactly when extra layers are needed to build a powerful atmosphere -- and, equally as important, exactly when less is more.
There's no shortage of bubbly synths, catchy loops, and crisp beats. Paces has spent a lot of 2014 touring extensively, and he's clearly learned what gets the crowd going; "On My Mind" is one hell of a dance-floor filler.
The track is a glimpse of what's to come for Paces, who will be releasing a new EP, also called On My Mind, on October 24.
