Parcels Lightenup

Parcels are based in Berlin but are originally from Australia. The bands eponymous album Parcels was released in 2018, having released several extended plays in the years building up to the album release.

First and foremost off the album,"Lightenup" is a seriously funky almost disco track. From start to finish it is rammed full of silky smooth compressed guitar rhythms that chop away seamlessly with the bass and synth. The vocals work as a supporting harmony and help add depth to the track. As well as awesome grooves, the track has been well arranged, bringing the different instruments in and out of the mix to enhance the groove.

If you like funk, buy this album. Enough said.
