Why do we like this?
So, I think we can all agree that Chvrches made a pretty big splash in the music blogosphere last year right? Well let me introduce to you London's Pawws, aka Lucy Taylor, who may just have what it takes to rival their bordering neighbors. I had heard a demo of Pawws' "Slow Love" before today, along with a few other singles, but I always thought this particular number had the most potential -- boy, was I right!
It's certainly a very similar vocal performance to Chvrches, minus the obvious Glaswegian accent from Lauren Mayberry. But Pawws seems to be a somewhat more dance-y affair, with a certain disco/synth infusion in her songs. It will take a little bit of time, but with the patience, enhanced production and a little refinement, I can see London's Pawws creating some pretty big waves this year.
Hopefully I can find out a bit before information about Lucy before her next release, but until then enjoy this latest offering!
