Why do we like this?

I'm a big fan of UK act Peluché and when I heard they would finally be releasing their debut EP next month, to say I got a little excited is an understatement.

Although it's been over a year since they released a trio of well received singles (check them out here), the band have lost none of their spark with latest release "Swim," the first track taken from EP Utopia Village. 

"Swim" is six minutes of genre bending beauty highlighted by a pulsing bassline, whispered percussion and angelic keys. The dual vocals are hypnotic, giving "Swim" an almost cultish feel, while weaving through genres of jazz, pop and indie with touches of tropical and orchestral sounds, all without sounding forced or out of place. 

This is a brilliant tune and a brave choice as a first single, but demonstrates Peluché beat to the sound of their own drum.
