Why do we like this?

After something of a fallow period, there suddenly seems to be an exciting new band of producers turning their interests to the outer edges of house music.

Including in their number the likes of Ross From Friends, DJ Different, Ghettohousedrummachine, DJ Boring and Mall Grab, each of these young producer offers a new, refreshing look at one of dance music's oldest genres, with analogue sounds and almost cartoon-y themes common to all of them. 

A new name to add to that list is Brighton-via-Spain's Pépe, whose bumping track "Lemon Fanta" is one of the best by any of this new wave of artists. 

Although much of this music is yet to be released - compilation anybody?! - "Lemon Fanta" bucks the trend. Get a copy on Bandcamp here.
