Why do we like this?

The setting: Along the beachfront, the horizon line turned orange, clouds up above darkened grey, with lighter patches beyond the clouds. Polo & Pan's "Melody" on play and everything settled along with the day.

The thinking: That our minds have the ability to hold the memory of a not-so-distant past long enough to combine it with the ever-changing present to reveal a melody is like peering directly into magic and wonder.

The conclusion: Music. That's why we're all here. We love it; we live for it.
