Why do we like this?

In some alternate universe where the FIFA Football franchise had never existed, I would never have known who Portugal. The Man was. Luckily for me, I don't live in that world, and I can share their second single, "Purple Yellow Red and Blue," from their latest album, Evil Friends.

Since 2004, this Portland four-piece have been churning out record after record, yet they don't seem to miss a beat on this latest single. On "Purple Yellow Red and Blue," they've taken the opportunity to showcase their versatility with a more electronically infused production. I mean, it still has that good honest rock feel to it with signature falsetto vocals, but it is very reminiscent of a STRFKR track.

Evil Friends (produced by Danger Mouse) is out June 4, 2013.
