Why do we like this?
I half like this song. And I half dislike it.
Beginning at the end, the reason this track loses me is because it very quickly becomes redundant, standard pop music. And as a man who stands behind his word (I recently ranted about the boring state of female-vocal-fronted indie pop), I should make clear that this song barely passes the bar.
So, why am I sharing this? I think it's the first 30 seconds. Every time I go back and restart the track, it reminds me that it's actually pretty darn good. That, coupled with the awesomeness that was their last track "Beat Of My Drum," has convinced me that maybe this ain't so bad, after all.
