Why do we like this?
Drake's Nothing Was The Same is out, and the song that is making the freestyle rounds with rappers is "Pound Cake." The track is a relatively innocuous collaboration between Drake and Jay Z, where the former's guest sounds very zen when boasting about his money.

Maybe it's the pressure of creating an important song, but "Pound Cake" is anticlimactic. The muted performances, along with a wrinkle-free, uber-smooth beat, with the requisite C.R.E.A.M. sample because rap, make for a forgettable song. However, other rappers have been able to take a more spirited approach.

Though the LOX did a very respectable job and had my favorite re-naming of the track, it is the Chef Lex Diamonds, aka Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan, that brought the best-tasting pastry to the rap party. Rae has been one of the most descriptive writers in rap, and his penchant for finely detailed boasts and odd luxuries fits 40s production to a T. Between threatening to bar offenders from entering the European Union and calling Goretex boots "Goreteezy's," it sounds like maybe Drake picked the wrong rap legend to guest on his track.
