Kaytranada is pretty good at extracting and exposing maximum value from female voices in his productions,so it's probably no surprise when I tell you thathe has done it again. This time, he's teamed up with Portland-based artist Riva DeVito. 2013 hadseen a pretty consistent stream of quality musicfrom the Canadian producer, including his ridiculously good edition of Jill Scott's soulful classic"Golden."I hope I am correct in predicting that this trend will only become more prolific as2014 rolls on. Taken from DeVito's forthcoming EP, "Friday Night" is a definite groove.Hervocals arethe perfect balanceof sexy and sweet. The back beat isn't bad either. One word: synths.
