Why do we like this?

I found this track while zoning out to Balance 024, the latest 2-part compilation from the Aussies ofBalance Music,mixed by legendaryDanny Howells(out on December 10). Considered a DJ's DJ, this new mix sees Danny coming back from a hiatus as one of the greatest musical story tellers in the world.That Mix(Part 2) features broken beats and atmospheric sounds courtesy ofJamie xxand some brooding techno a la Will Saul and Michael Mayer.

On this particular track off This Mix, Danny turns to Portuguese producer Rompante for his latest stylings off Hamburg's Liebe*Detail. This is deep house at its essence: smooth jazzy basslines, melodic piano caresses and a jackin' beat that creeps up on you. A perfect complement to the timeless compilation that is Balance 024.
